Anderson Valley
The Mendocino County valley where William Lucas Plaskett settled his family in 1854, farming and raising stock among the valley's first families — the Plasketts appear in the 1860 Anderson Valley census. Mendocina Plaskett, the family's first California daughter, was born here in September 1856 and named for the county. The rehearsal for Pacific Valley.
