The Piedmont Land and Cattle Company Sales

In 1921 the Plasketts signed away Township 23 land for ten dollars in gold coin — and 54 dollars in revenue stamps.

In January 1921, William E. Plaskett and his wife Jessie sold a large quantity of land in Township 23 to the Piedmont Land and Cattle Co. for $10 in gold coin. Fifty-four dollars in U.S. Internal Revenue stamps were canceled in this matter. The same day, Edward A. and Mabel Plaskett and Wesley Plaskett also sold land to the same company. This marked a major transfer of Plaskett lands.
