Historic Quaker settlement where the Plaskett family lived 1733-1789. William Plaskett (d. 1748) acquired land here 1733 and was a founding councilman when Trenton was chartered in 1745.
Trenton, New Jersey was founded in 1679 as a Quaker settlement. By 1733 when William Plaskett arrived from England, it was a small but growing town at the falls of the Delaware River.
