Missouri Ellen Marrs

Missouri Ellen Marr (January 22, 1862 - April 1944) was born in Fannin County, Texas. She married Robert Taylor Alderson and they moved to Durant, Oklahoma in 1918. They lived at 904 North 2nd Avenue and were members of the Methodist church. They had four children: Richard M. Alderson, Barley Hamilton Alderson, Julia May (Mrs. W.P. Hodge), and Jerry Alderson. Her son Jerry died in April 1939, followed by her husband Robert later that same year. Missouri Ellen had siblings including brother Sam Marr of Atwood, Oklahoma, and sisters Mrs. Mary Pritchard of Wapanucka and Mrs. R.B. Page of Dallas. She passed away at her home in Durant in April 1944 and was buried at Highland Cemetery beside her husband.
