William Plasket the Quaker Mason of Trenton

William Plasket (d. 1748) immigrated from England and settled in Trenton, New Jersey. He was a mason by trade and a Quaker. On October 29, 1734, he married Margaret Lucas Margerum, a widow, at the Quaker meeting house at the Falls in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. In 1745, he was among the initial officers when Trenton was incorporated as a free borough, serving as a councilman. He built a brick house and owned several properties in Trenton.
