In 1789 the Plasketts spent a year building a boat in Pennsylvania — their road to Ohio was a river.
In 1789, William Plaskett (tailor) left Trenton NJ with family, spent one year in Pennsylvania building a boat to descend rivers to their land purchase in Symmes Land Grant, Ohio. Many adventures along the way including several Indian attacks. William and son Joseph both drowned on a hunting trip in October 1796.
