Lucia Post Office Named for Lucia Dani
The post office at Lucia keeps the name of Lucia Dani, the coast daughter who never left it behind.
Lucia Dani never married and lived on the coast most of her life. She moved with her parents to San Lucas where she worked in the hotel. The post office and area of Lucia was named for her. The well-known Lucia Lodge is situated below the old Dani homestead overlooking the sea.
