Gabriel Dani Lost His Arm in Threshing Machine
A threshing machine took Gabriel Dani's right arm. It did not slow him down.
Gabriel Dani, who settled on the coast in 1867, lost his right arm while working on a threshing machine in the Salinas Valley. Despite this handicap, he was a man of iron constitution and became so adept with his one arm that everyone marveled. He continued to work his ranch until moving to San Lucas in 1905.
