Edward Sans - The Coyote Man of Nevada

E.R. Sans of Mill Creek became Nevada's 'Coyote Man,' the government's legendary predator hunter.

Edward R. Sans, born April 23, 1875 in Soledad, became known as “the coyote man” of Nevada. He worked for the U.S. Biological Survey on predatory animal control. Since 1915, nearly 100,000 predatory animals were exterminated under his supervision in Nevada. His son Carl was tragically killed during deer hunting season in 1925. His daughters Mabel and Olive both married Plasketts.
