Margaret Lucas Plaskett

Margaret Lucas was born 16 June 1708, daughter of Edward Lucas and Bridget (Stott) Lucas. She first married Abraham Margerum on 27 October 1731. Abraham died soon after making his will on 22 March 1731/32, leaving his estate to Margaret and his mother Jane Margerum.

Margaret married William Plaskett on 25 October 1734 at the Falls Quaker meeting house, Bucks County, Pennsylvania. They moved to Trenton where they raised their family and were active members of the Chesterfield Monthly Meeting of Friends.

After William’s death in 1748, Margaret was responsible for raising their children per the terms of his will. The last record found for her was her signature on her daughter Margaret’s marriage certificate to Conrad Kotts on 27 September 1757.
